Could be the statute of limitations or maybe he is protecting others who are still waving in the wind, like Bruyneel, Carmichael...or the likes of Hincapie who is now pretending along with the rest of the recently admitted dopers to be racing clean. A lot of sighs of relief -- from Vaughters, Verbruggen, various officials. It wouldn't surprise me if the scope of Lance's confessions were up for sale to the highest bidder and that money changed hands prior to the Orpah interview. Pure conjecture of course but considering the known history of such interactions not a completely wild guess.

A bust Indeed. I'm baffled as to why he maintained his innocence since 2005. Was it maybe due to statute of limitations? I'm not a lawyer and have no idea. I firmly believe he would have won people over had he been truly repentant and honest. People wanted to believe him. Instead, he sickened everyone and will probably fade away. I'm okay with that.
